WITH THE MENTAL ILLNESS

CLEITHROPHOBIA.

What is CLEITHROPHOBIA?

Cleithrophobia is the fear of being trapped, distinct from claustrophobia, the fear of enclosed spaces, which it is often confused with. It can cause panic in wide-open spaces, such as traffic jams or snowstorms. Cleithrophobia is a mental illness that can make it extremely challenging, if not impossible, for individuals suffering from it to engage in normal, everyday activities, such as going to work or school, feeling trapped in a building or under the perceived control of a superior.
